So, here are tips I have never heard from years of thrifting for clothes:
Try on small men's sweaters for yourself, especially when made of natural fiber.
Get costume jewelry and see if it's the type that online fashionistas recommend putting clear nail polish and store in a bag with dehudifying packets to protect it.
Wear close fitting clothes to try things on over. It's not always clean in thrift stores.
